Over 1,000 signatures have already been collected in an online petition that was recently launched to call for a ban of hunting in the Majjistral Nature and History Park in the north-west of Malta. The Majjistral Park is managed by 3 NGOs – Din l-Art Helwa, Nature Trust and the Gaia Foundation. The petition aims to ensure that the Park can be safely enjoyed by the public at all times, to ensure the conservation of the Park’s biodiversity, and to put an end to the widespread litter of lead and shotgun cartridges in the Park.

If you agree and have not yet signed the petition, please do so by visiting http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/Majjistral/index.html .

Over the past three months, over 500 visitors have joined guided walks in the Park to learn more about nature, whilst countless others have visited the Park on their own. For more information about the Park visit www.majjistral.org.
