Notte Bianca opening of Our Lady of Victory Church

The doors of Our Lady of Victory Church in Valletta will be open between 19.00 and 23.00 hours during Notte Bianca, on Saturday 3rd October.

Visitors can view the recently unveiled ceiling painting by Alessio Erardi depicting different scenes from the life of the Blessed Virgin. This church, dedicated to the Birth of the Virgin, was commissioned in 1566 by Grand Master Jean De Valette in thanksgiving for the victory over the Ottoman Turks.  It is situated opposite the Auberge de Castille on De Valette Square, at the beginning of Merchants Street.

Any donations will contribute to the cost of state-of-the-art lighting for the Erardi ceiling.
