Din l-Art Helwa – Letter to Prime Minister following rally

Following the environment rally held in Valletta on 7th December 2013, Din l-Art Helwa has written to the Prime Minister outlining recommendations made by Din l-Art Helwa about the proposals from government on land use, building heights and other new policies and plans.

During the rally, among other concerns, the government was requested to put on hold the new policies and changes to the local plans that are currently being put forward, until adequate studies have been carried out which will enable better informed decisions to be made on these issues.

This letter was sent in copy to Mr Leo Brincat, Minister for the Environment, Sustainable Development and Climate Change, Dr Michael Farrugia, Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Simplification of Administrative Processes, and Mr Vincent Cassar, Chairman of Mepa.
