March 9th at 6.30 pm. in the Judge Caruana Curran Hall at Din l-Art Ħelwa’s premises, 133, Melita Street, Valletta, our Council members and friends Prof. Anthony Bonanno, archaeologist, and Retired Judge Joseph Galea Debono will again share with us their enthusiasm about Malta’s military history. Their talk is entitled THE CENTRAL SEGMENT OF THE VICTORIA LINES. It focuses on the stretch of the Victoria Lines from Wied il-Ghasel all the way to Falka Gap, including a number of sites of a military nature, now classified as “conflict archaeology” , and a number of pre-historic and other sites from the punic, classical and paleo-Christian periods .
This is the third and last in a series of lectures on the Victoria Lines and their environs delivered by the Bonanno – Galea Debono tandem at Din l-Art Helwa.
The talk will be delivered in English and is free of charge. However, please keep in mind that donations to Din l-Art Ħelwa are our lifeblood and help mantain our many precious sites.
